The short film "Snow in September" co-produced by Guru Media and the French production company "Aurora" has made Mongolian film history by winning a Golden Lion award for "Best Short Film" at the 79th Venice Film Festival where it had its world premiere. It is a historic award for the Mongolian film industry which started eight decades ago.
In September of 2021, nearly 35 crew members from Mongolia and France participated in the production of "Snow in September", a coming-of-age film about a young male teenager that takes place in Ulaanbaatar. Post-production was completed in France.
Just a week after the Venice triumph, Dulmaa and the French-Mongolian crew were
very happy to receive another award for Best Short Film at TIFF as well.
Thanks to the Venice and Toronto International Film Festivals and the juries for this wonderful
award! And congratulations again to the entire amazing French-Mongolian cast and crew!!
